Most recently, Brooklyn’s Other Half Brewing Co. has developed a unique way to bring breweries together with an open-source collaboration beer recipe called ‘All Together IPA.’ Breweries from all over are invited to use this recipe, the artwork, and the name. Other Half’s co-founders’ goal “is to provide you with the tools to make the beer at the lowest possible cost.”
Other Half Brewing Co. understands the struggles businesses and employees are facing with this new reality of life, which is why they have devised the plan to raise money for hospitality workers the best they know how: beer and community. Breweries and those in the hospitality industry rely heavily on social gatherings in order to keep their business afloat. Social distancing has affected a large number of corporations, and fewer people are leaving their homes. By creating a label, ‘All Together IPA,’ Other Half Brewing Co. is reassuring the community that we are all in this together, and together we will weather this storm.
Brewers can find the recipe online supplied by Craft Beer & Brewing. The original packaging was designed by Stout Collective, and brewers are encouraged to use the label and add their own personal twist on it while keeping the name ‘All Together IPA.’
So far 410 breweries have participated, a few of which include Side Project Brewing of St. Louis, MO, Monkish Brewing of Torrance, CA, Trillium Brewing Company of Boston, MA, and Finback Brewery of Queens, NY. Visit their site to find out if a brewery near you is selling this community-owned IPA.
